Yarde Farm Hawk Walk
This is an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside of Taunton Vale whilst having a large female Bay Winged Hawk (Harris Hawk) follow on and fly majestically to your glove for a bit of food. You may even be lucky enough to see her in action and truly see what hawks are capable of.
The walk is around a large private farm, with stunning views of the start of the Quantocks. Each walk lasts roughly 2hrs.
Prices start at £40 for one person, £50 for two, £60 for 3 and £70 for four.
We can take groups with more than 4 people, but only by contacting us first to arrange details.
Half Day Experience
Your day will start by being introduced to our birds (Hawks, Falcons and Owls), during which, our experienced falconer will explain all about their diverse histories and how they ended up at their new home. You will then be given a demonstration on flying and the correct handling of birds of prey.
The Hawk walk takes place around our idyllic 360 acre farm. During this time you will get to experience the amazing thrill of hawks flying to your hand to receive their food. Remember not to by shy about asking questions, there will be plenty of time to find out all you wanted to know about these birds!
This activity lasts around 4 hours and are run for both morning and afternoon sessions.

Introduction to Falconry 
Are you crazy about birds of prey? Are you interested in training or looking after your own hawk? Would you love to experience the thrill of flying a falcon at 150 miles per hour? How about watching a Eurasian Eagle Owl swoop with elegance through the sky? The our Introduction to falconry experience is just the thing for you!
The day starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm and includes a delicious pub lunch. During this action packed day you will be introduced to all the birds of prey, taught the correct handling techniques, day to day maintenance, the finer points of weight control, equipment making and husbandry. You will also be flying a variety of birds, and understand what to expect when receiving your own bird and training techniques all whilst getting a more in depth view of the amazing capabilities of each species.

Hawk & Gun
Hawk & Gun is our newest activity, combining 2 very traditional country sports.
You will spend the morning flying and learning about a variety of birds of prey, which will involve them flying to your fist and wandering around our beautiful 360 acre farm.
You will then be driven to our local friendly country pub for a main meal and a pint or glass of wine.

After lunch we will meet up with our resident gunman to spend some time clay-pigeon shooting and see how good a shot you are with a real shotgun.
This activity is a true way to experience the stunning English countryside.

Hunting Trips
Why not come and have a full day out with our hawks, watching their true natural behaviour. The day runs from 10-4pm and is held on a private 700 acre estate. You will hunt predominately rabbit and pheasant, which you will get to keep at the end of the day. The activity runs from 1st October to 1st February. Ferrets and dogs are u sed to assist the birds and all necessary equipment will be supplied on the day. Recommended clothing is suitable footwear (i.e. wellington/waterproof boots), waterproof jacket and warm layers. Hot beverages will be supplied, but due to the nature and location of the day there will be no cafés nearby - so make sure you bring along some lunch! Please contact us directly for more information.

Hawk & Horse Experience
If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget, then this is it.
This is our newest activity - and one we are very pr oud to be able to offer - consisting of falconry in the morning and horse riding in the afternoon.
During the morning falconry session you will learn about the true art of falconry and fly a variety of our birds - including hawks, owls and falcons.
You will then be taken to the local country pub for lunch (included in price), after which you will be taken to Manor Farm - an established riding stables.
You will get the chance to enjoy a 2 hour long hack* across the beautiful Quantock hills. This really is something that shouldn't be missed!
