Southwest Falconry started at the beginning of 2009 with the intention to run a small private falconry where clients will get a very one-to-one falconry experience.

We believe it is very important to give ill-treated birds a second chance. At the time of writing, some of our rescued birds have tipped feathers and one or two are emotionally distressed. It is not the bird's fault if they do not fly well - it is the person who previously owned them. We devote a lot of time to reinstalling their trust in man - something we find extremely rewarding. Being told a bird is impossible to train and watching him/her fly free a couple of months later is a very exciting spectacle to watch. It is obviously fantastic for the birds as well.

The falconry is set on a private farm with beautiful views of the Quantock Hills - we have plenty of space for the birds to fly around and keep fit.
